However, Alfred also has a  holistic admissions  process involving other factors beyond your grades and test scores. While not required, Alfred recommends  interviews  for interested applicants. Students with particularly compelling stories or achievements can still receive serious consideration even if their grades and test scores are outside Alfred Universitys average range. Engineering students will need to demonstrate a higher level of math proficiency than general applicants, and art students will need to submit portfolios for admission.
